Hello, and thank you for visiting our website. My name is Mike Hill and I'm a Rockland County local, born and raised in Pearl River. My two best friends, adopted rescue dogs Willie & Jake, are pictured to your right. I have spent most of my adult life (over 20 years) training and caring for dogs, and recently moved to Nanuet to realize my dream of running a professional day care, boarding, training, dog walking, pet sitting, and grooming business. My view on Dogs is pretty simple - I love dogs and I continue to be amazed by the positive impact they have on our lives. I don't think we can ever learn enough about dogs and the very special bond that exists between human and dog. As a dog behavior specialist, I am dedicated to improving the balance between dogs and their owners, and working to positive change in dogs who may exhibit a wide range of extreme behavior - anything from insecurity to severe "red zone" aggression. I firmly believe that every dog deserves to be with an owner they love, and every person should have a dog, and that you really need to understand the personality of both dog and owner/family - and sometimes you have to work with both - to ensure they're a good fit. A dog's love is earned and unconditional, and so should the owner's.
Our number one goal at Dog Hill is to provide the highest quality of service to the dogs in our care; to give dogs what they instinctually need; to help dogs achieve happy, balanced, and long lives; AND to make sure we provide a first class service to you, their dog parents.
I have operated a successful dog walking, sitting, and training business for the past several years and had been looking tirelessly for the ideal location to expand that business to include day care, boarding, and grooming. But it had to be done the right way. In a spot that offered an outdoor dog run while providing enough space to offer the dogs quiet time in their own private indoor space. I have found the ideal location on Route 59 in Nanuet that will enable us to fulfill our goal. I wouldn't trust my dogs to be cared for by just anyone, and neither should you. Every Dog Hill team member is personally trained by me and comprehensively background checked. We are fully bonded and insured.
